  1. You Are the Music We're Just the Band is the third studio album by English hard rock band Trapeze. Recorded with producer Neil Slaven, it was released in by Threshold Records. The album was preceded by the release of the single "Coast to Coast" in
  2. Trapeze are a funky soul rock band -- picture some of the funkier moments that Deep Purple were into when Tommy Bolin was in the band, and you are in the general ballpark. Personal highlights on this CD for me are the ferocious funk of "Way Back To The Bone" and the soul of "What Is a Woman's Role" and "Feelin' So Much Better Now".Reviews:

  4. Release Date: 09/25/20Trapeze's origins can be traced back to two bands from the Midlands; Finders Keepers, featuring Mel Galley (guitar/vocals), Dave Holland (drums) and Glenn Hughes (bass/vocals), plus the Montanas' John Jones (vocals/trumpet) and Terry Rowley (keyboards/guitar/flute), Trapeze were soon discovered by.
  5. This is defiantly a treat to own. Glenn Hughs is a monster bass player and sings like a bird! Bringing back memories of the 70's that were favorable of a Rock cover band I was in with my older brother and playing "you are the're just the band" made an impact on my playing and my attitude/5(37).

  7. It's quite comm sounding hard rock, typical of its time, yet not particularly compelling. Don't get me wrong, this is still a good album, but for me, the writing is on the wall and I can tell they are headed for zones I'm just not that into, so this will probably be my last Trapeze album. Grades - 3 B's, 2 B-'s, 2 C+'s, and a C.
  8. was in the band being big fans of them also. I just bought this thinking it was "live" I guess from the cover but it's still one of the greatest albums ever! This band was better than the popular hard rock bands that were out at the time. They sound like Humble Pie with funk but this album rocks out. The songwriting is incredible. Mel Galley /5(55).
  9. Dec 09,  · Produced by Neil Slaven, I'll readily admit this wasn't a groundbreaking collection, but overlooking the touchy-feely title, anyone who through these guys were a third tier pseudo-progressive outfit was likely to be surprised and impressed by Free-styled blues-rockers like 'Keepin' Time'', 'Way Back To the Bone', and 'Feeling So Much Better Now'/5().
